Squirrly SEO vs Yoast SEO: It’s really important to choose the right SEO tool for your website. Two of most popular are Yoast SEO and Squirrly SEO. Both are WordPress plugins with lots of excellent reviews. I’ve used them both with great results but they do have different features available that you may need:
Yoast SEO
Yoast is the most well-known WordPress SEO tool. They have been around forever and getting started is very simple. You go through the quick setup guide and you’ll be done in minutes.
Once that’s done, you simply need to follow their guide whenever you write a blog post. Yoast will let you know how optimized your content is, and recommend changes. I’ve used them for years with excellent results.
You can add your meta title and description into Yoast as well, to ensure that your Google listing looks just the way you want it to.
Squirrly SEO
Squirrly SEO is more a mixture of lots of different SEO tools rolled into one. It is not as well known as Yoast and Rank Math, but it has a lot more features in it. Once it’s installed, there is a walkthrough that will help you set it up correctly. The initial setup is quite easy, however, if you want to make use of all the tools available – you may have to watch some of their videos or read through the documentation. The documentation is very detailed and easy to follow.
Squirrly SEO will give you a clear indication of how well your content is optimized as you write it. It also has additional features, such as helping you to quickly insert copyright-free images and citations into your articles.
Adding your meta title and description is very easy as well. You won’t need to type anything, as there are ready-made shortcodes that you can use instead.
Besides the SEO features in each article, you also have access to a keyword research tool, an SEO audit feature, a Google ranking section and much, much more. Although there was a bit of a learning curve at first – once I got the hang of it, I found the tools to be extremely useful in optimizing my articles and my website.

Squirrly SEO vs Yoast SEO: Conclusion
Yoast SEO is simpler than Squirrly SEO, but with fewer settings. However, it does have some great features, like the ability to add meta titles and descriptions to your website, and the ability to set focus keywords. If you’re looking for a simple option that just works, then Yoast SEO is a great choice.
Squirrly SEO has way more features than Yoast SEO, including a keyword research tool, a Google SERP checker and a bulk SEO feature. It also has a live assistant that helps you write better content by giving you feedback on your writing. So, if you’re looking for a more complete SEO tool, with advanced ranking features, then Squirrly is a better option for you.
