Kites was one of my most used purchases last year. It was a very simple and clear way to create interactive websites that could look exactly the same on both mobile and desktop. Unfortunately, as they were a lifetime deal product without any push to get monthly subscribers, they eventually came to the decision to close down.
While there’s no product that’s exactly the same as Kites, I’ve found some suitable alternatives that allow me to recreate my current sites in a similar way.

Fingertip – Best for eCommerce

Fingertip has a similar feel to Kites in that your mobile and desktop sites look exactly the same. This means that you never have to worry about your site not being mobile-responsive or looking strange on a different device. With more and more people using their mobile devices for everyday shopping, mobile-first websites are most definitely the future.
Fingertip does literally everything. You’ve got your regular website creation, as well as scheduling events, selling products, blogging, emails, forms, and AI chats. It covers everything that a Shopify/WooCommerce store can do and much more. If Fingertip continues doing what it’s doing, it will soon become a powerhouse in this industry.
My only complaint is that the UI feels a bit sluggish. With so many different things under the hood, it’s no wonder it’s not super fast. If you’re creating sites or products that will sit untouched for weeks/months, then this won’t be an issue. For someone that creates websites regularly, this might annoy you. Hopefully, they speed things up a bit with the next update.

Carrd – Best for Quick Sites

Carrd has been around since 2016 and is one of the cheapest ways to host single page sites. With such a long history, and with regular updates, there’s very little chance of this business going the way of Kites. It’s a solid product that’s easy to use.
For me, this was the best Kites alternative. I don’t need ecommerce features or to send emails, I simply needed a fast and easy-to-use site creator.
Carrd has normal one-page sites, as well as a website-type called “Sectioned”. With a sectioned website, you can load the whole site, but only show a section of it to your viewers. This is equivalent to the Slides that were available in Kites. You can quickly jump between each section with the click of a button.
Linke – Best for Affiliates

Linke is a new product that I’ve come across. If you need a Kites alternative that focuses purely on bio links, then Linke is a strong choice. Their best feature is that you can redirect links according to the viewers country and device.
This means that you can send iOS and Android users to different stores or products. You can also send people from specific countries to the best product for their region.
Linke also check every link each time it is clicked, and will inform you if the target URL is down. This is a dream product for affiliates.
Best Kites Alternatives
While there isn’t an exact copy of Kites currently available, each of these tools has features that could help you both replicate your Kites and improve upon them with new features. Each one has features that were missing in Kites and should help you create even more impressive websites.
