If you own a generic controller, you know how difficult it can to find compatible games. There is software that can assign keyboard keys to your controller but requires a fresh setup for each and every game. However, there is a little known tool that will make your generic controller work straight out the box with any game that supports Xbox 360/Xbox One controllers – and that’s pretty much all games!
Check out the Xbox 360 controller emulator software. Simply download the x86 or x64 version depending on your setup. Open the software and setup your controller (normally it will set itself up automatically if you follow the prompts). Once setup, simply close the program and copy all the files to your game installation directory.
With each new game simply copy those same 3 files into the installation directory and your controller is fully setup!
